Programme
Marathonkids along with Irish Life Dublin Marathon, and local sports partnerships across Ireland have organised this 8-week programme targeting 5th & 6th class students in schools across Ireland.
Students will learn about the health benefits of sport and perform four running sessions each week inching them closer to completing their marathon as well as learning about the benefits of physical activity.
Week 1- Learning Healthy Heart
Week 2- Learning Physical Benefits of Exercise
Week 3- Learning Mental Benefits of Exercise
Week 4- Learning Social Benefits of Exercise
Week 5- Learning the Community Benefits of Exercise
Week 6- Learning the Importance of Hydration
Week 7- Learning Role of Nutrition
Week 8- Learning Educational Benefits of Exercise
